Want to eat like the ChefDiddy crew? Want to impress your friends at the next tailgate, poker night or when the guys are over to watch the game? Want to salvage a lame game night, Tupperware party or something else that your significant other is forcing you to attend?
All of these things can be taken care of with this simple (relatively) recipe. As an added bonus, it is guaranteed to fellate your taste buds and make feel like blowing your mind up, or cutting your legs off. I present to you, this ChefDiddy approved recipe for Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers - Spicy, Smokey and Sweet, just like Sophia Vergara: Makes 24 Poppers.
- 12 - Fresh Jalapeno Peppers
- 2 - Medium Peaches
- 1 Package - Thick Cut Bacon
- 1 Package - Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Cup - Smoked Gouda Cheese
- 1/2 Cup - Pepper Jack Cheese
- 1 Tbs - Sriracha or Other Hot Sauce
- 1 Pinch - Cracked Black Pepper
- 1 Pinch - Kosher Salt
- 1 Pinch - Hot Paprika
- 1 Pinch - Garlic Powder
- 1/4 Cup - Brown Sugar
For the filling, combine the Cream Cheese (at room temperature), Shredded Smoked Gouda and Pepper Jack Cheese, Sriracha, Pepper, Salt, Paprika and Garlic Powder in a mixing bowl, and set aside. Halve the Jalapeno Peppers and remove the stems and seeds. Using a spoon, or your fingers, fill the Jalapeno Pepper Halves with the Cheese Mixture. Fill them completely, to the edges, but do not over fill them. Slice the Peaches into 24 pieces, between 1/4" and 1/8" thick. Place one slice on top of each Jalapeno Half. Cut the strips of bacon in half. Wrap each Popper in bacon and secure everything with a toothpick. Place Poppers on a backing sheet and sprinkle sightly with Brown Sugar (picture is above). Bake at 375 degrees until bacon is cooked and crisp (15-30 minutes depending on the oven).
That's it.. Oh, and please refrain from eating them immediately, as they are hot as fuck. So wait a few minutes then eat as many as you can before your friends do. You are welcome.
